Cookie Policy

This policy explains what cookies are, which categories this site uses, and how you can control them. It applies to drempik.delivery only. Restaurant brands and other third-party sites linked from these pages set their own cookies under their own policies.

How to read this

Cookie rules only make sense with the rest of the paperwork in view. This page covers cookies alone; the Privacy Policy covers what we collect and why, and the Terms of Service cover how the guide may be used. None of the three describes a Miller's Ale House restaurant's own website — a millersalehouse location sets its own cookies on its own domain.

Cookie categories

Four kinds of cookies, and what each one does

Two of these run because the site cannot work without them. The other two are yours to keep or drop, and the site keeps operating either way.

Strictly necessary

Page delivery and form submission. Set when you use those functions, and not subject to optional consent.

Analytics

Aggregated page reads used to fix and extend coverage. Not used to identify readers or build advertising profiles.

Preference

Optional. Remember display choices between visits. Block them and the site still works; your settings just will not carry over.

Third-party

Set by the outside sites we link to, not by us. Those brands and services answer for them under their own notices.

One lamp still on after closing. Photographs on this guide come from rooms like this, not from the brands listed on them.

Plain definition

What cookies are

A cookie is a small text file that a website stores in your browser. It lets the site recognize your browser on a later request, which is how features like remembering a preference or measuring page usage work. Cookies do not run programs and cannot access other files on your device.

Most cookies carry a name, the site that set them, a value, and an expiry date. A session cookie disappears when you close the browser tab; a persistent cookie stays on disk until its expiry date passes or you delete it. Nothing in a cookie is executed — it is read as text and matched against what the site expects.

Strictly necessary cookies

These cookies are required for the site to function correctly. They support basic operations such as page delivery and form submission, including the contact form that routes you to a confirmation page. Because the site cannot work properly without them, they are set when you use these functions and are not subject to optional consent.

In practice, blocking them is what breaks things. A browser told to refuse strictly necessary cookies usually returns an error page instead of an article, and a submitted contact form has nowhere to land.

Optional cookies

Analytics and preference cookies sit side by side

Neither of these is required for the guide to open. Each is read by a different part of the site, and each can be switched off on its own.

Analytics cookies

Analytics cookies help us understand which pages are read and how visitors move through the site. The data is aggregated and used to improve coverage and fix broken pages. It is not used to identify individual readers or to build advertising profiles.

  • What is recorded Which pages load, and roughly how long a visit runs
  • Who sees it The guide's own counts, in totals rather than per person
  • What it is not used for No profile of you, and no ads built from these numbers

Preference cookies

Preference cookies remember choices you make on the site, such as settings that affect how content is displayed. They are optional. If you block them, the site still works, but any preference you set will not be remembered on your next visit.

  • What is stored Display choices you set while reading
  • Lifetime Kept until they expire or you clear them
  • If you block them Pages still load; your settings simply reset each visit

A table set for two that left. The screens behind it stay blur in every photograph on this site.

Third-party cookies

Some pages link to external sites, including restaurant brand pages and mapping services. Those sites may set their own cookies when you follow a link. We do not control those cookies, and this policy does not cover them. Check the third-party site's cookie or privacy notice for details.

If you follow a link from a Miller's Ale House Menu Guide page to a restaurant's own site, the cookies you meet there belong to that restaurant and its service providers. Nothing we write on this page can speak for them, and nothing they set is readable by us.

The same applies to the guide pages themselves: this Cookie Policy covers what drempik.delivery sets. A brand-linked page elsewhere on the web runs under its own rules.

Browsers decide

Every major browser can view, block, and delete the cookies on this site.

The setting usually lives under a Privacy or Content section of the browser's options. Allowing first-party cookies while refusing third-party cookies keeps most of the guide working and keeps the outside links slightly quieter.

Where the switches are

Managing cookies in your browser

Every major browser lets you view, block, and delete cookies through its settings menu. You can usually block all third-party cookies while allowing first-party cookies, which keeps most site functions working. Blocking all cookies may prevent the contact form from functioning as expected.

See what is stored

The cookies list in your browser shows each cookie's name, the site it belongs to, and when it expires. Scanning that list after a visit is the fastest way to see which sites in a session are actually setting files on your machine.

Block by site or by type

You can refuse all cookies, refuse only third-party cookies, or allow individual sites one at a time. Most browsers also let you clear everything already stored; doing that logs you out of sites you were signed into, so it is worth a moment's thought.

Private windows

A private or incognito window holds cookies only for the session and clears them when the window closes. That is a read-only visit in practice: preferences will not carry over, but the pages themselves open normally.

What can break if you block everything

  • Contact form A submission still needs a delivery path. With every cookie refused, the form may fail before it reaches a confirmation page.
  • Display preferences Any layout or reading choice you make is forgotten the moment the tab closes.
  • Nothing else Articles, menu notes, and comparison pages keep opening. The guide's content is served the same way regardless.

Policy in motion

Changes to this policy

This policy may be updated if the cookies used on the site change or if applicable requirements change. The version published on this page is the current one.

When was this policy last written? Open

The text you are reading is the current version. There is no separate changelog: the page itself stands as the record, and any edit replaces what is published here.

Does the guide use cookies to track restaurant visits? Open

No. This is a reading site. It does not hold reservations, does not place orders, and has no way to see whether you visited a bar, when, or with whom. Nothing on the pages collects a location.

Do you sell cookie data? Open

The analytics this site runs are read in aggregate to decide what to write next and what to repair. They are not packaged, resold, or handed to an advertising network.

I blocked cookies and something stopped working. What now? Open

Allow first-party cookies for drempik.delivery only, and leave third-party blocking in place. That restores page delivery and the contact form while still refusing everything the outside links would try to set. If a page still fails, write to us and tell us which one.
